Are pets allowed at Maya’s Banner Elk Cabin?

Yes, house-trained pets are welcome at Maya’s Banner Elk Cabin. We charge $200 for the first pet and $150 for the second pet (maximum of two pets, each up to 50 lbs). Guests must clean up after pets, with a $35 fee per incident for any waste left uncollected. Pets should not roam unsupervised outside due to nearby wildlife. A minimum charge of $300 will be applied for any damage to furniture or carpets requiring professional cleaning or replacement.

What amenities are offered?

This property offers a one-of-a-kind glow-in-the-dark game room, spacious decks with BBQ grills, a fire pit, hot tub, and hammocks, plus breathtaking views of Grandfather Mountain. The 3,500 sq ft main cabin and private cottage can accommodate up to 18 guests. It includes 6 smart Roku TVs, a fully stocked kitchen, a safari-themed play area, and is equipped with pet and child essentials. A premium coffee bar and complimentary firewood complete the experience for a luxurious and family-friendly stay.

Is the property suitable for families?

Perfect for all ages, this unique retreat boasts four distinct indoor spaces: a Glow-in-the-Dark Mystical Game Room, Safari-Themed Kids Playroom, Cozy Living Room, and Board Gamers’ Loft. Step outside to unwind by the fire pit, soak in the hot tub, or relax in the Zen Den, all while soaking in stunning sunsets and the beauty of nature. A private cottage for added space and privacy is included.

What is the check-in/check-out time?

Check-in is at or after 4 PM, and check-out is at 10 AM. Complete check-in and check-out instructions will be provided upon booking. If there is no same-day turnaround, early check-in and late check-out options are available: $100 for up to 2 extra hours, $250 for 2-4 hours, and a full day’s rate for over 4 hours.

What is the cancellation policy?

Guest receives 75.00% if cancellation occurs at least 30 days before arrival; Guest receives 25.00% if cancellation occurs at least 14 days before arrival; No refunds within 14 days of arrival.
